‘If there’s only one story model, why is it so difficult to apply it to my play?

Should it be a one act, a two act, three…maybe even five?  Do I start it at the beginning swiftly followed by the end and conclude it in the middle? Or should the whole thing run from back to front like a time machine stuck in reverse?

HOW DO I DECIDE? HOW DO I KNOW?’

In many cases your story will decide for you, but it’s good to know the range of choices available to you, and how to make the creative choice that serves you best.  Euphoric Ink’s half day workshop on play structure is an intensive examination of form, outlining all the options, how they work and how they’re applied.  With spaces for up to eight writers, come and explore – find the right story model for your play.  Bring a treatment or scene by scene break down and be prepared to share it.
