Amarillo Arts are seeking submissions for a new adaptation of Alice in Wonderland for their Summer 2012 show. Deadline 31 March 2012

Scriptspace is the new-writing department at the Space. It is for new writing at an advanced stage of development but in need of practical realisation to progress further. Chosen scripts will be invited to monthly script-reading workshops.

The competition aims to discover and develop new writers for theatre and is only open to writers who have not yet received a full professional production of their work on the stage. Winning the People’s Play Award is a great first step to establishing a career as a professional writer. Deadline 31 May 2012.

The Inter-Action Fun Art Bus takes to the road in 2012 – get your play performed on it! The six winning entries will be produced on the bus and published in relevant publications. Deadline 29 February 2012.

Artists or companies who have made a commitment to working in the North East with a unique/surprising/fresh way of looking at the world are invited to apply. Deadline 9 March 2012.

Capital is looking for writers to submit new scripts for one-hour performances during the Festival in May. There are three places available and the successful applicants will be offered a £1000 bursary to self-produce their shows. Deadline 5 March 2012
